8 month hiatus

Hello Friends and Family…. I’m back! Instead of 8 months worth of lines and pictures, i think i’ll just post in chunks.
First of all…what happened? Well somehow, someone inserted a nasty script into my website, which caused my webhost ipowerweb to suspend my account for the longest time. I’m unfortunately still with ipowerweb, but i am looking around for a new home! It took countless number of emails and calls to the united states to sort out the problem. My emails were bounced, my website down, it was just a nightmare!
When i spoke to a technical assistant, he suggested i completely wipe out my site and start afresh. Fine, i’m using dreamweaver so i do have a local copy of my site. BUT…how about my blog 
Well i ain’t that big of a geek ok, so i asked him what i shld do. He did a SQL dump for me, and PROMISED me that all my posts will be there.
Now….for those bigger geeks out there, help me understand this…. the SQL dump is only 139kb…hmm isn’t that a bit small to be carying all my old posts?
Anyways, i’m back online, on wordpress, and still trying to familiarise myself with functions and plugins. I’ll soon put up a subcribe plug-in too, which means you can receive email updates on my blog ….
sigh, my love hate relationship with technology.
Watch this space for more updates! YAY! tehehehe
p.s. still alot of tweaking but i just HAD to put the blog up already!

but how do i unzip or open it up. its not a zip file…so i import it into mysql..??

First thing I’d do would be to open it up with a text editor.
If you are going to try to import it, make sure you’re appending and not overwriting. A safe way to go about doing that would be to set up another WP installation altogether and play with that.
