Another update on PInc

January 24, 2006

pinc

PInc has been updated again, loving the shanghai ladies, so penny gave me the go ahead to use it for her latest blog entry. Quite proud of myself actually… turned out quite nice! And yes i do know what the words mean…i asked my mum!

This year’s chinese new year reunion costume theme…is just anything chinese. Auntie Vivian just told us about this 2 days ago, hence the frantic search online for ideas. My mum will be dressed like a chinese rickshaw rider, and i’m going as a old skool shanghai lady. Last night Wayne took me to Chinatown to get some ‘props’, and i was truly surprised! Temple and Pagoda street were just filled with people, lights, red lanterns, ornaments, persimons, ‘lap cheongs’ and sweets! I really enjoyed myself….I’m so easily pleased.

I want to ride my bicycle

January 19, 2006

How appropriate is this song!

Long long long looonggg overdue…here’s my new bike. I don’t proclaim myself to be a biker just yet, nor am i going to refer to my little rides as biking. Coz in actual fact, i’ve only gone through the mud and grub of Bukit Timah ONCE. But that day will come… the day when i don’t have to push my bike through most of those darn hills, that will be the day i fulfill one of my many 2006 New Year Resolutions/Goals! As awful as it may sound, going up is alot easier than going down…if i had a choice, i’d rather suffer going up! When i went with wayne late last year, i swear i thought i was going to die or at least fall flat on my face!

Why i love my dorky sister

January 11, 2006

Uungah Boongah!
Why do i love my dorky sister?
Because i’m as dorky as she is…and probably the only one that laughs hysterically at her jokes.

On MSN:
(onwhether we should email daddy, who’s participating in the clipper race)
Georgie says: but surely he would want an email from home?………. all lonely smelling like fish

(Just after lunch)
NOTE: My sister needs to be FED on time, or else she turns into this monster sulky groucha-lofagus!
Angela (???) says: zzzzzzzzzzzzzz…………
Georgie says: zzzzzz too
Angela (???) says: heavy lunch?
Georgie says: Yep and late too
Georgie says:almost 2pm
Georgie says: almost gonna bite someone
Georgie says: was looking like a rabid dog already

(really…… she could and would bite)

(Just after i jetted/cleaned the fish pond and driveway)
Angela (???) says: ill get back to u.. need to shower first… i smell of algae from the pond and floor
Georgie says: ok, go shower pond scum

New photos!

January 5, 2006

New Photographs have been uploaded on the Uniquely Singapore Clipper website, they can be viewed HERE!

I took most of the pictures in the Leg 4 race 5 album, and i think i did a pretty ok job there. Wish there was more publicity for this race, right now i think the business times does regular updates in its papers. Such a shame these fantastic individuals don’t get enough support from their fellow countrymen.

Slowly putting more stuff on to the website, once i’m satisfied with that one, i’ll get back to this one. Sorry sweeties, i got to prioritise! I’ve got media, public and government orgs. browsing through it.

GO DADDY GO!

January 1, 2006

And they are off! Uniquely Singapore Clipper boat left Fremantle this afternoon for Singapore. For those who are lost, My dad is taking part in a Roung-the-world Yacht race, but just doing 1 leg, from Western Australia to Singapore to Qingdao China.
Fremantle, Western Australia
I’ve been involved by creating a blog for the team at Uniquely Singapore Clipper

Please show your support, write comments, because they need all the motivation coming into home port!

I can’t help but feel proud of my dad, for undertaking such a challenge, and i MUST add, it’s not an easy journey at all!! 4hour watches, rough seas, unpredictable weather. They arrive in Singapore around the 14th of Jan depending on how fast they sail. Do give them the support, these sailors really are doing Singapore proud.
