GO DADDY GO!

January 1, 2006

And they are off! Uniquely Singapore Clipper boat left Fremantle this afternoon for Singapore. For those who are lost, My dad is taking part in a Roung-the-world Yacht race, but just doing 1 leg, from Western Australia to Singapore to Qingdao China.
Fremantle, Western Australia
I’ve been involved by creating a blog for the team at Uniquely Singapore Clipper

Please show your support, write comments, because they need all the motivation coming into home port!

I can’t help but feel proud of my dad, for undertaking such a challenge, and i MUST add, it’s not an easy journey at all!! 4hour watches, rough seas, unpredictable weather. They arrive in Singapore around the 14th of Jan depending on how fast they sail. Do give them the support, these sailors really are doing Singapore proud.

  7. Hey Angela! Great to see you back! Yay!
I have a good friend on the WA clipper, and she had heaps of stories to tell and she let us have a peek around the boat in Freo. So exciting! But haha not very much room for 20 people!
Hope you’re enjoying this weird weather!

Wow. Your dad sounds so adventurous! My father in law is 74 and he’s still climbing mountains in Scotland! I want to live that kinda life when I’m past 60 too! Hmm, perhaps not sailing around the world in a yatch, but I definitely want to rought it out in Antartica one day!
