I want to ride my bicycle
January 19, 2006

How appropriate is this song!
Long long long looonggg overdue…here’s my new bike. I don’t proclaim myself to be a biker just yet, nor am i going to refer to my little rides as biking. Coz in actual fact, i’ve only gone through the mud and grub of Bukit Timah ONCE. But that day will come… the day when i don’t have to push my bike through most of those darn hills, that will be the day i fulfill one of my many 2006 New Year Resolutions/Goals! As awful as it may sound, going up is alot easier than going down…if i had a choice, i’d rather suffer going up! When i went with wayne late last year, i swear i thought i was going to die or at least fall flat on my face!

Woot woot! That looks like one rough and tumble bike! And don’t give me your ‘i’m not very good’ crap.. I hear you did ALL the downhills at BT, which for a first-timer is DAMN impressive. I brought a friend of mine before whom I thought was quite garang, but she didn’t do the downhill segments and she never ever came back after her first ride!
But I kinda know what you mean lah… I was pretty humbled by BT when I first rode the trail, and didn’t claim to be a biker for yonks till I actually conquered it! :p
Ps: Did Wayne tell you about what Sulaiman can do to the bike?

And oh ya this song… Always reminds me of Andrew!
Yes, he’s THAT obsessed.
And by the sound of it… SO IS WAYNE!
Comment by Janice — January 20, 2006 @ 11:40 pm
michie: stationary bikes..ahhaahha… i had enough of those.. got so bored of it.. then again i dont cycle in front of the tv.
janice: i actually impressed myself that day too! what was i thinking…bit too daring right for first timer. Better just take it slow…haven’t spoke to wayne yet, just got home. And he’s finishing up his batman returns DVD. I’ll call him a bit and ask him about it… Wayne IS obsessed, it feels like he’s cheating on me with another woman(bike)

No way, don’t take it slow. Totally great stuff! Wayne was saying that if you kept at it, you’d be whipping his arse in no time for sure!

Gizmoe: OOooo welcome back to you too! nice to see familiar nicknames hehehehe you know what i hate most about bikes…horrid seats that just make your crotch ache like you’ll-never-have-kids-again sort of pain. Got to get myself one of them padded shorts.
Ian: funny…..

The song is soooo cute!!! I’ve been reading about your riding adventures on Janice’s blog. You go girl! I haven’t attempted BT yet because I heard about the scary slopes. Actually, I haven’t been on a bike in more than a year.
Comment by Joan — February 11, 2006 @ 11:47 pm
Joan: It’s pretty scary, but really, if you can’t do it, push the bike up. but always no harm trying. well honestly, i haven’t been on a bike for 8 yrs, only started last year cruising at east coast with wayne.
