ripped off?
February 23, 2006
So tell me this is not ridiculous. Last week, Wayne took nan, noor, and me for indonesian food at Sanur Suntec City. First thing staff does it place a basket of keropok on our table, and asked us if we’d like a jug of lime juice. Yeah ok…we all liked lime juice. Had a great meal, until i saw the bill.
I’m the sort of girl that doesn’t eat the nuts at chinese restaurants, or use the wet towellettes unless necessary. And i get cheesed off at how restaurants charge you for these things whether or not you’ve used them!
I know it drives Wayne NUTZ, but i believe it’s a matter of principles. These restaurants just hope you skim through the bill, and pay for those towellettes that would probably be used for the next person sitting at that table. Maybe just wipe off that drop of?crab sauce i dripped on the plastic, and WaH LA! ?I just don’t like feeling cheated.
And what makes it worse? WHen prices are ridiculous… 3 bucks for a few pieces of?keropok and get this…. $18.95 FOR A JUG OF LIME JUICE. That was the most expensive thing on the bill!
If maybe…the ambience was magnificent, service great, food delicious………… WHo am i kidding $18.85 FOR A JUG OF LIME JUICE!!

Maybe Alcohol was cheaper! Was it a mistake??? But didn’t they have the price on the menu?? Even then…………$18.95 for a jug of lime juice is just pure madness. Maybe they need the money for the Tsunami rebuilding………… :S

if you’re into Kbox, the nuts are like 5 bucks EACH (i think), and they just put it there, not making a pip about it and making you think it’s complimentary.
till u see the bill…

what a rip off!!! no wonder they suggested the lime juice. that irks me too. man, if lime juice was already that expensive, i shudder to think how much the alcohol would cost. maybe like 9 million dollars.

damn! Could it have possibly been a mistake? I mean, that’s just ridiculously expensive. It’s lime juice for God’s sake! I’d bring my own limes and squeeze them myself. It’d be a hell of a lot cheaper that’s for sure. Oh and Angela that Queen song is driving me nuts now, could you plssss add some other songs?
