Phuket - Day 1

It’s about time i blogged about my little getaway. I finally got paid for the STB Ads, and decided to splurge on Wayne’s birthday present this year. So 2 weeks ago, i took him to Phuket, Thailand. Tiger Airways offered the most competitve prices, plus their plane looked pretty cool on the outside (i’m a sucker for packaging). While we were waiting at for our gate to open, i went online to check the weather forecast.
Lesson numer one: ALWAYS CHECK THE WEATHER BEFORE PLANNING YOUR HOLIDAY! No wonder the tickets were so cheap?! It’s freakin thunderstorm season.
On the up side, our hotel was amazing! We stayed 50 metres away from the beach at Banthai Beach Resort Patong, onThaveewong Road. I highly recommend this place!
After checking in, we planned out our days with the tour operator at the lobby, done. Since we couldn’t join any tours that late in the day, we rented a HUGE ASS jeep for just $28 a day! Wayne being Wayne wanted the BIGGEST baddest road beast there was.
Lesson Number 2: Always check if the rented jeep has power steering. Wayne probably gained a kilo of muscle mass on the arms.
We visited Wat Chalong temple, viewpoints over-looking the beaches and drove through Phuket town.
In the evening, we walked down the infamous Bang-La Road, where it was lined with bars, bars and more bars, and the occassional tailor that gurantees a suit can be made in 24 hours. We sat at a bar, beer in hand, watching groups of sexy women dancing on the platform. WAIT A MINUTE…EGAD! They were MEN!
Lesson number 3: If you ever want to get plastic surgery done, go to thailand, the surgeons would have had lots of practice. Flawless work, flawless!
My gawd, these trannies had the works done and they weren’t shy to let us “inspect” either…happily flashing their full ample melon bosoms and lifting their skirts exposing their non-existent shlongs! shocking! But it was fun just watching them trying really really hard to tease and seduce a tour group of rigid korean toursits. I took a picture with one of the ‘girls’, and trust me, you would have never guessed she was a he.
Slow walk back. slippers dragging. wash up. heavy lids. cold sheets. warm boyfriend. yawns. good night.

what a sexayy looking hotel! bleah about the weather but as long as you’re with Wayne, you could be out in the padi fields, you wouldn’t care, yes?

but the good thing about the thunderstorm season is that you don’t have to squeeze with that many people.
i heard the rain is quite periodic and comes and go quite fast?

Hey angela, am a regular blog reader of urs. I recently went to thailand too with my bf! We went to bangkok instead…have u been there? I fell in love instantly with the people, the amazingly clean toilets & the cheap shopping, hotel, food, movies…the list goes on. I am planning another trip there again end of the year and Im picking up thai! sawadikaa!
U really shld go visit bangkok with wayne.

joan: yeah it was actually renovated, because after the tsunami, the place was water damaged pretty bad. I like the new look…
Amelia: Hey amelia, so nice of u to drop a msg, I went to bangkok i think about 2 years ago. I loved it…lots of shopping. But of course if i had a choice, i like the outdoor beach thing. Wow picking up thai! now that’s admirable… its a very feminine language…. good on ya!
