Low maintenance self-watering plant pots.
The Wet Pot Systems does not rely on complicated mechanical parts but instead uses the laws of nature. The supply of water is regulated by the unique, natural characteristics of clay for water absorption, which is controlled by a specially formulate glaze, which partially covers the clay pot. The plant draws the water it needs through the pot. We call this technique capillary attraction.

Sleeping beauty

Just got home, its 12:16am and i’m spent. Had a long day at work today, and it didn’t stop when i was at Wayne’s. Sat at the dinning table and worked till about 11pm when i surrendered to it all… Poor Wayne waited for me to be done, and ended up falling asleep.
He always looks so cute when he’s sound asleep. I couldn’t bear to wake him up to send me home. Turned off his tv, his lights and cabbed it home.
My turn to cave in. Night.

Mother of all IKEAS

A few weeks ago, Wayne and i took a trip to (what felt like malaysia) the new IKEA at Tampines. It IS pretty far if you’re coming from the west sieeeedd! (i think only jake fans get that) hyuk hyuk

!! It’s alot bigger than the one at Alexandrea Rd, plus, parking is free.
I was there on a mission, a mission to purchase JUST a corkboard and a potted plant. But oh… the temptations…. you walk through the room displays and you wish your room was as swank as that. Was close to buying a cookie jar i didn’t need.

Where is rider 166?

I must say, i’m a lil dissapointed i didn’t see my name on the finishers list. I clearly finished the race with 4 stickers, and i’m damn proud of that achievement. I know i checked in when i arrive, so why isn’t my name there? I finished at the same time as Wayne and Janice, my name should be there with them. Where is rider 166 
I know its silly, but should i email them to tell them? I feel a bit upset… you have to understand, that was my first Bike marathon.

CNY Reunion Dinner 2007

This year we didn’t go back to Penang for Chinese New Year, my grandma passed away last year, so its customary that we don’t even receive Hong Baos from my parents.
But we still had a reunion dinner here in Singapore.
My sister and i playing with our food. Capsicum moustache and eyebrows.
It was a weird reunion dinner, because 3/4 of our dinner guests weren’t family,and they were all Ang Moh! To add to the list of our unconventional CNY dinner, we are Korean BBMy dad’s old friends were in Singapore, and we had a feast with Lo Hei, Korean BBQ, Tiramisu and strawberries.

Luckily the clouds held up the rain till the next morning, otherwise it would have been quite a disaster.

Peach blossoms

The saturday before Chinese New Year, mumsy gave us some craft work to do. We were glue gunning fake peach blossom flowers on a REAL tree. Funny you might think… but look at the results! It looks like a real blossom tree!
Mumsy also had a huge Peony rose, which we made kevin hold like a ‘Gu Niang’.

Although I wished it had waited a bit longer. Would have loved to see it slowly bloom instead of a “KABOOM!” TADAaaaa!
Oh wells, it’s still beautiful. Now let’s hope it stays there for at least a few more days and not die “KABOOM!” by tomorrow.

Why women can’t drive?

I hate the stereotype that men has placed on women drivers, but after watching this video, how can you blame them!
2 weeks ago at the BT carpark, we saw a VERY similar scenario, where this woman just could not get the concept of reverse parking. You just have to remember that you’re moving the front tyres….its really not that difficult??

My little garden

I finally have my desk at work, and this pot of tulips just completes the look and feel. Everyday i look at that pot, hoping a bud will show. With my luck, probably nothing.

Oh… how we have aged!

My previous post reminded me of the skies in Perth during spring and summer, this beautiful blanket of C:65 M:34 Y:1 K:0 (geek).
I started scrolling through pictures taken during my stay there, and as they always do, those pictures led to a flood of emotions and recollections of my university days.
As I reminisce the good and the bad, and the good always had Wayne in them. I can’t believe it has been 3 yrs 8 mths together, and oh how we have aged since then.
This photo was taken in 2004. Wayne still had those black rimmed glasses; I had my short little bob haircut. I wonder how we would look like in 10, 20, 30, 40 years time. Old fart-bag, wrinkled, teethless, shrunk and bald.
Will you still love me then?

My Pink obsession started with a Pink “Miss Piggy” Adidas Hoodie i bought a few months back. Wayne bought the “It Ain’t Easy being Green” Kermit the Frog hoodie, and i bought the Miss Piggy one soon after.
And now, my bike is pink! Not entirely, just the hubs, head piece and stickers. The original Litespeed sticker was neon green, but I got it custom printed with a shocking pink. The bike has been pimped with anodized pink Chris King hubs. It feels good to be able to contribute a bit to society too, a portion of the proceeds from each sale supports breast cancer research.

My Black Valentine

I don’t believe in buying flowers and chocolates on Valentines Day! It’s so overpriced during this period… Since it’s a day to celebrate love in general, We should be using that difference in money to donate to the poor instead. I reckon its ok to celebrate it, i’m not ALL that anti-valentines, its just these shop sellers who inflate prices by 200% which drives me nuts.
