Boo played ‘cobweb’ at the Repertory Theatre’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at Fort Canning Park 2 weekends ago. We brought some Wine, brie, green apple, water biscuits and a mat. Got that picture in your head? Now cut and paste it into a cooler country, like Perth, and it would have been perfect.

Hey all. It has finally arrived. Gone are the sleepless nights, gone are the nightmares of lost delivery packages, gone are the empty sinking feelings I have when I watch mountain bike DVDs or look at others’ stoke mountain biking pictures, gone are the times that Gilbert has had to run and hide when he saw me approaching his shop and gone are the days of waiting by the phone for that one call to end my torture. For the light has finally shone on me and my Turner RFX has arrived!

Mountain Biking - 27 May 2007

Another Sunday at the Bukit Timah Mountain Biking trail, and it never dissapoints. No matter how many times you have been to the trail in the past, it always feels like a new ride. The trail, weather, riding line changes, and with time, your skill, edurance, and speed changes. So how can you say i’d get bored with it.
Today we took it easy as the Dirtraction dudes and dudettes surveyed the trail for pre-race repairs. Trail building day is coming up, and it would be great to see more volunteers helping out. Mountain bikers, please do your part to help out! You use (and abuse) the trails, the least you could do is lend us your muscles and join Dirtraction on Sunday 3rd June 10:00am - 2:00pm.

Was just a year ago i bought my Shimano cycling shoes. After 4 overseas ride and countless weekend rides, it was time to put it to rest (soles were cracked and coming off). So i got meself the Adidas 2007 El Moro Mountain Bike Shoe.

2 root wisdom

About a month back, I paid my dentist a visit for a routine clean and to decide if i needed to extract my left wisdom tooth. I was getting pulses of pain, and he said if it wasn’t extracted, the pain will only intensify with every episode.
So the verdict was… pull it out. My first ever extraction, and it wasn’t pleasant.
I’ve changed my appointment 3 times, and i’ve run out of excuses.
I’m now icing a swollen cheek with a cooler box ice block wrapped in a towel. My cheeks and lips are numb, and i’m drooling out of the side of my mouth (when i tried to eat some porridge lunch).

Tuesday saw a huge turnout from Dirttraction & Friends for the MTB training at Satellite Park, compared to last tuesday which was just Wayne, me, HM and William.
Loop sequence: A B B 1/2A and the ride to Tanglin Halt for supper.
I was sweeping, not because i wanted to, but i was the worse out of the lot…

ICON Mahjong Night

FINALLY…we got round to organising Mahjong Night! On monday night, My colleagues Marlene, Andrew and Weiren came over to my place after work for an absolutely mind-blowing curry dinner cooked by my helper.
Andrew was on a roll, unbelievable luck, to the point that the three of us “combined forces” and tried to “draw out” the luck from him (as pictured)! After rounds and rounds of hard work, all i won was $3.20! But that’s alright…win or lose, i just love playing the game.
I had buckets of fun and laughter, looking forward to the next session.

Breakfast at Ghim Moh

Wayne’s on leave today, so we had breakfast together at Ghim Moh Market Hawker Centre. Smsed Janice, but she already left for breakfast at Raffles Place, oh well, next time.

2 soft boil eggs + Kaya Toast + Kopi
2 soft boil eggs + Kaya Toast + Hot milk
Kaya toast, a traditional breakfast dish. Kaya is a sweet coconut and egg jam, and this is spread over toasted bread. Combined with a cup of local coffee and a half-boiled egg, this makes a typical Singaporean breakfast.

Something to note: Wayne is ALOT less of a Grumpaloffagus in the morning if he is fed breakfast, good to know…good to know.

Wayne P’s B Day

Was a quiet one for Wayne’s 29th birthday, compared to the Surprise MacDonalds Party we organised last year. This time it was alot less planning, just had to make a reservation and give strict orders that I will be settling the bill. Under no circumstances does anyone else touch the bill. I was still spotty then, which explains why there isn’t a picture of me in the gallery. But here’s a lovely picture of the pereira siblings.

Took mumsy out for Mothers’ Day breakfast at Graze restaurant, Rochester Park. Daddy & jiejie ordered omelettes with different fillings, scones for me, and mumsy had the cast iron pan special.
Food was great, company was the best, a lovely lovely Sunday indeed!

Nouvelle Vague

they didn’t play my song….i can’t believe it! Few years ago when i had my old blog, there was one song that was constantly on the playlist, and it was my favourite tune for the longest time. They played all their big hits on saturday, except for that one song…
Besides the crowds, and some weird random girl blowing my hair off my shoulder and trying to squeeze between me and another guy… the night was alright. Manage to get a pretty good viewing spot in the very packed Zouk.

Spotty

To those who have seen me yesterday today, thanks for being so sweet, assuring me my face didn’t look bad at all. But the fact of the matter is… I’m a spot farm at the moment.
Two nights ago, I went for dinner with Wayne, and ten minutes after we sat down, he said,
“Darling, the spots on your face is like the constellation of the stars!”
“What do you mean?”
“You’ve for Orion’s belt on your left cheek”
I took out my mirror and was shocked at the number of spots that appeared on my left cheek, soon, it was all over my face!! It’s not pimples, but some sort of insect bite! omg omg omg…
Yesterday, I just looked hideous, something is seriously wrong!! Went to see the docs this morning…got some meds for it…please please go away…I don’t want to be polka dot no more!
