Happy Farters Day…to our favourite Farter!

June 19, 2007

It’s an old joke, this “Farters Day” thing, my dad thought it was funny, and so did we….about 15 years ago?!

Sunday dinner at My Secret Garden. We were served by a lovely gentleman called Ronnie, who made sure we were happy with our food and provided great dessert recommendations at the end of our main course. And since it was Fathers’ Day, dessert was on the house for Daddy.

Jie jie was housing a hangover from the night before, so the thought of tomato based pasta or salmon steak didn’t really cut it for her. Instead she had two servings of bread and butter pudding and a cappuccino instead.

Top 3 recommendations:
Seafood Aglio Olio
Triple Choc with Vanilla ice cream
Blueberry cheesecake

  2. Ah yes, I was thoroughly confused back in Melbourne when Woolworths would have fathers’ day cards on display at the ‘wrong’ time of the year!!

  5. ginA: not sure… can wikipedia it?

germaine: exactly!!! i always sent my dad a card on the oz father’s day and he would get so confused.

Averil: Let me know how it went!

yi-vern: that was coincidental.. my mum and sister only. HAHAHah and about the printers.. yeah. because we changed the position of the printers, and it would be on a taller table. wouldnt make sense if she had to step on a baby stool to copy a piece of paper hAHAhahha
