Death to the paper towel…

September 5, 2007

This is quite sad. Last week, it was so cold in the office i had to resort to something really silly. I already had my sports jacket on, socks on my feet, and a shawl around my knees, and i was still feeling like my toes were about to die off.

So I went to the toilet and warmed my hands and arms for a good 10mins under the hand dryer.

I just stood there. Watching my palms turn back to a healthy flush of pink! So i thought i’d do a little research on this little machine that saved the day.

Hand Dryers Save 90% of Paper Towel Costs
Electric hand dryers achieve a 90% cost savings over paper towels. These savings are realized by eliminating the maintenance and operating costs associated with towels.

Hand Dryers Protect The Global Environment
By making the switch to an electric hand dryer, you will reduce pollution by eliminating tons of landfill waste and water pollution. You can help the environment while reducing your costs!

Hand Dryers Improve Hygiene
Several studies have been published in peer-reviewed medical journals on the health benefits and improved hygiene of electric hand dryers.

Hand Dryers are Maintenance-Free
Hand dryers are always ready 24/7. The maintenance-free and vandal resistant design reduces maintenance costs and headaches. No more paper littered floors, stopped up drains, or empty dispensers.

Hopefully you’ll think twice now before reaching out for that paper towel in the restroom!

  3. I used to use hand dryer…and then I came across this report that says hand dryer may pass on germs onto our hands, esp if the toilet isn’t well kept. Because they suck the air from around the tiolet! Makes me paranoid now. o_O’

  4. Hi Angela,

I used to use it too until I got tired of walking to the toilet just to warm my hands. So now I just cup my hands around a glass of hot water!
