Shoestring with Aioli

May 2, 2008

When I was studying in Perth, I’ve always had a weak spot for the shoestring fries at Oriel cafe Subiaco. The chips thickness was just right, cooked to the perfect crisp, and the aioli gave it that extra kick. So of course I had to go back for a taste… just to be sure it hasn’t changed 2 years on.

  2. looking at this picture reminds me of the days when i was a student in murdoch uni … subiaco is a great place to relax .. and one of the reasons why i’d never bother to eat a cheese cake in singapore .. its just so different there :) … maybe i’d return one day to try the IM in Busselton .. hopefully in 2009/2010 :) … is the teddybear shop still there?

  3. Alex: it is nice, subiaco is a lovely suburb. And i think cheesecake and coffee tastes better when the weather is cold. you’d appreciate it alot more. teddybear shop where they stuff the bears and you get to clothed them? i think they still have them in the big malls like garden city and carousel. I believe they have one in singapore too.
