Halloween 2008

November 3rd, 2008

My favourite time of the year has come and gone, sometimes I wish it’d last for more than one night!

Feeling creative, the initial plan was to go in a home-made flamingo outfit, but then I spotted a fairytale costume I’ve always wanted to go as. Alice in Alice in Wonderland.

Wanted to carry an oversized biscuit that said “Eat Me!” or a bottle tag to put on my alcohol bottle which said “Drink Me!”.

I couldn’t pull off the second part of that costume, so I opted for something a bit more morbid. It is Halloween after all. I was an Alice gone wrong. I killed Mr. Rabbit.

Overall I thought my costume was great, the only thing I would have done differently is probably forgo the Wallace and Gromit sheep bag, because some people thought I was “Lil Bo Peep”!! Fail!

First stop was House@Dempsey, where most of the crew congregated.

Then we headed to Zouk which was waaay too crowded! So we left for Attica, which was also bursting at the doors. So in the end, it was supper then home.

I love watching the festively garbed adults walking the streets that night, even more so if they were in character.

Strangely, no little creatures came trick or treating this year. Oh how I wish this was the U.S. where we get to dress up our houses, and walk the streets like the New York’s Village Halloween Parade. So much fun!

I’d like to be Alice for more than a day. Think I shall wear my wig around the house tonight. I can pretend right?

I saw a pic from someone that a group of people went with the ERP gantry :P .

Oh you don’t wish ya in the US. A kid went up to someone’s house for trick-or-treat and the guy in the house thinking its a robbery and let go of 30 shots, poor kid.

    Hey Angela,

Came across your blog while surfing around for Alice in Wonderland costumes. I happen to be looking for one right now for a Hen’s night. May I know where you got your costume from? There’s a great lack of costume shops here in Singapore.
