Singapore F1 Grandprix

September 24th, 2009

So daddy is back on F1 duties this year as Chief Secretariat. This time, the whole family was given free tickets to the Grandprix. Initially, we were told they were walkabout tickets. Then it got changed to Grandstand Marina Bay seats. WOOT! Can I just say, I’m just so darn proud of my daddy, at 64 he is still keeping active and pursuing his interests and passions.

With 4 tickets for all three days, we were thinking of splitting it up so we can bring friends and visiting relatives as well. Finals would be a family affair.

I had 2 tickets for myself for qualifying night, and none of my friends can make it! That’s too bad…… because…. they got changed again to Pit Grandstand!

Shame I have no one to share it with :(

Read about my behind-the-scenes tour here at last year’s inaugural Singapore F1 Grandprix.

    Aww, well if you can still walkabout, you can come look for us for company? I’ll be zzzzz-ing!

    @Janice
    I’m not sure if we can walkabout. This year they have restricted too much movement between sections. But i’ll let you know. Which day are you going to?

    Have fun. Best seat in the house!
    Will have to be contented with F1 sights from the TV, F1 sound from open window and F1 feeling from Tiger beer. =P

    @Hugo
    Funny :)

    @ean
    Well the best seat in the house is still my dads, his room is right next to the control room with all the TV screens from every single camera angle possible.

    Yvonne: Trying to call you! You parents are taking two i think. Call my handphone when you get this msg :)

    Gosh…pit grandstand!!! That’s one of the best seats!!! I’ll bring my superzoom lens if I were you.

    Will be missing out the actions this yr as I’m heavily pregnant now. Last yr there was almost a stampede behind the Marina Grandstand and I wouldn’t want to be that situation again with my current state.

    Anyway, so envious!!! Have a roaring good time! :)

    @Chloe @Jo Ann
    Thanks girls. Chloe, yeah stay in and watch from home. It might be a bit too crowded. I think that’s a wise decision… plus, i heard it might rain on sunday. Can you imagine the chaos??

    Hi, I’m just trying my luck here. Do you have any inkling if the Sunday Walkabout tixs are still available from anyone? I’m looking for 2.

    Yeah, I heard it’s gonna be thunderstorm for all 3 days…is the the pit grandstand sheltered type?

    Hopeful: You can try your luck and go to the ticket booth located at various gate entrances. There are always people there who won free tix or has extra ones trying to sell away their tix.
