Jamie Cullum – Love Ain’t Gonna Let You Down (Airto Cover)
I posted this song recently, but this one is an amazing version done by my favourite YouTube singer Airto. This clip is one of those songs i’d close my eyes and listen to and it would hit me real hard. Pangs of emotion and the feeling of your chest caving in.
Hong Kong Diaries – City Skyline
Photos taken at Wan Chai District

Hong Kong skyline from rooftop of J-residences at Wan Chai District.

Wavehouse Sentosa
First time to the Wavehouse.

Didn’t ride the waves that day, instead chilled with a couple of cold beers and had some camera fun. Kiran and Andrea also took turns to try their hands out in photography.

Cherry Pip Trajectory
D was fashionably late, so Chris, Kim, Joel and I entertained ourselves by playing cherry-pip-trajectory by the berth. Also, it was only then did I realise how tall I was, towering over Kimbles.

Then we headed out for a pretty awesome day of wakeboarding at the islands.

Check out these fancy-schmancy sequence shots I put together on photoshop!

Jungle Book
When we were young, my dad would set up the home Cine projector for Jie Jie and I, and our favourite movie on reel was The Jungle book.
Here’s our two favourite songs from the film.
Perth City Skyline
Best time to appreciate the Perth City skyline is at dusk. If you’re planning to take photos there, suggest you bring a tripod for better results. Was a challenge to get my photo sharp!

This was taken from South Perth esplanade, just around the corner from home.
Beauty in destruction

The fire comes leaping through the woods
Burning all of Nature’s goods.
It jumps and sways from side to side,
Using each tree for its scorching ride.
It sputters left and sputters right–
Killing life with greedy delight.
It plays with leaves and very tall pines,
Breaking in places, then it combines.
The trip is ended, the forest is gone.
It all started just before dawn.
So many were happy while they lived here;
Now, they’re all hiding in fear.
It only takes a single match..
~George E Thompson

Name these trees
Anyone can anyone help name these trees?

Saw this one en route to Swan Valley.

This one was taken at Fremantle on the coffee strip.
*UPDATE
Thanks for the comments guys, finally got the names.
Purple one is a Jacaranda mimosifolia
Red one is a Brachychiton acerifolius – Illawarra flame tree
I’m a graduate
I graduated in 2006 in June, convocation in July. Unfortunately I had to travel to the UK that summer and had to miss it. So I got my degree posted to me by Fedex. My mum is quite sentimental about these sort of things, and insisted that I take photos in my gown at Uni. So on my last trip back, I went down to the rental shop, rented the regalia for A$55 and got D to help me snap some photos. Couldn’t help but mess around with the hideous formal gowns they had for rental!
3rd picture on the right – Currie Hall was the on campus housing I stayed in for 3/4 year before I moved into my apartment. I’ve met wonderful people there! In fact some of my best friendships started in that hall.
I quite like my department colour: Flamingo Pink
It was quite amusing walking through campus having people walk by and say congratulations! Little do they know I’m 3 years late!

This ones for you mummy!

Jules update
He is running around and learning how to throw balls and tantrums.

Here are a few favourite pictures I took of Jules last weekend at Jie Jie’s.

Beauty in the details
Shedding bark can look pretty.

And so can a random lump of seaweed!

8 November – part 1
So I’ve been lazy with the posts again. Big weekend of posts ahead! My birthday last November was definitely a memorable one spent with close friends and family.
I had to break it into parts because it was pretty epic (pales in comparison to kimmy’s of course) and just 1 post of photos won’t suffice.
Part 1 was with my lovely ladies Janice, Grace, Joanne and Melody at an Italian restaurant in Pasir Panjang Village.

Thanks girls for all the gifts, cards, wishes and most importantly your company at that wonderful dinner!
Lots of love xoxo
Afternoon Funnies
Was having a horrid day at work yesterday, but this came through my email from my sister. I gladly accept her spam emails because it’s always quality forwards
Must have your volume on!
Wakeboarding Chronicles
Been wakeboarding a fair bit these past few months, and instead of just pictures, here’s a video montage of the thrills and spills….in reverse!
*update
Just realised the video is 5mins long! Perhaps I should cut it down. Will do that tonight.
*update update
Darn it, got a notification on the use of music track on my video. Anyone know how to get around it? Mix-up the tracks a bit?
