I’m a proud Auntie again!

Say hello the big boy Benji who arrived in the wee hours on Sunday 13th February 2011 at 3.78kg.

So here are the 4 who guessed the right date for Pop Day #2

Ok… it’s that time again for the ‘POP’ day poll! We did this last year with about 101 votes cast.

Jie Jie’s ex-colleagues have already put in their coke bets for #2. Basically their wage is a can of coke. So if there are 9 of them, the one who guesses the right date gets 8 cans of coke.

Doctor has given the 12th February as THE day for Benjamin to be born, but it’s always + – 1 week. The poll is back and I’m going to throw in a bit of fun this year.

This pregnancy has been a bit different from the last, Jie Jie has been craving sweet stuff like ice-cream! So I’ve decided to give away 3 tubs of Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream to whoever guesses the correct ‘POP’ day! I know there will be quite a few names for each date, but when that day comes, I will get my sister to pick out a winner from a bag.

There were some really interesting names in the Others section, no guessing who voted in Keeran…. Keeran?

So there were some valid arguments against the name Liam. Too bad, that was my favourite. Maybe one day, my son can be a Liam? At the end of the day, it’s up to Kevin and Jie Jie to choose. I’m quite happy with the decision, was still within my top 10!

Julian is growing up so fast, sometimes I wish I could just press pause for a few more months just to spend more time with this lil fella

Jules is starting to crawl and the last I heard, he managed to stand holding on to the side of his crib. Oh how fast they grow up.

So it’s any day now, I’m going to be an Auntie!

Official date given by the doctor was the 20th of October, but with these things, you never know when she will POP!!

So I thought I’d start a lil poll on this blog……

I’ve heard a lot of stories on the severity of sibling rivalry; the screaming, fist fights, hair pulling, scratches and vulgarities. Me and my sister just never went through all that?! Is that weird? Maybe it’s the age difference? Or maybe it’s the threat of ‘the teng tiao’ that hangs in the back kitchen with the brooms. Dang danggg!!

Anyway, I’ve always had a lot of respect for my sister growing up; she was definitely miss goodie-two-shoes in the family. The one that read more books, didn’t get into too much trouble and did better in school.

Looking back, I couldn’t have asked for a better sister. There’s no one else I’d rather do the egyptian walk around the house with, that was our thang. We’re such goofballs. I’m completely myself around her…

So I’ve wanted to post this draft for the longest time, but wanted to make sure I had the go ahead before doing so. A few weeks back, we celebrated my mum’s birthday as usual with a family dinner at home.

Now before I carry on, Wayne brought up something a week before this at my house. He said “your sister looks different; I think she has put on weight or something.” And there I was thinking I knew best, “Nahhhh its just the jeans, it’s not the best cut, she hasn’t put on weight!”>/font>

Fast forward 1 week, when we were cutting up my mum’s birthday cake, she insisted we play a game. She told us to pick out a piece of paper from a bowl. Once we all got one, we then proceeded to open it all together. Mine said “you’re going to be a grand dad!” …Huh? Wayne’s one said “You’re going to be an Uncle!”

My mum said Wayne won the “Lucky dip”… *pause*…ohmygod… OH MY GAWD!
I GET THE GAME!!
We all then proceeded to pass each other the correct pieces of paper.

So… I’m going to be Auntie Angela in about 5 months time!

I’m just so happy! So so so ecstatically happy for Kevin and my sister.
