Birthday morning hangovers are not fun, and the only way to recover is a P.S. Cafe brunch with my favourite eggs benedict and skinny latte. Usually that would have been the case, but I don’t know why I decided to go with something different that day. Had major food envy when I saw the eggs benedict on the table next to me.
Next time, just stick to the usual Angela!
And you know what’s one of the best presents I got this year? Watching my nephew Julian walk/run on his own. He is growing up so fast!
Picture speaks louder than words. Continuation of my 27th Birthday at Bedrock & Butter!
Squishy face!
Top left: Me and my friend of 20 years, Danli. (Is it 20 babe? or 21?)
Top right: Readddyyyyyyyyy!
Bottom left: Neighbour, known him since I was a kid too.
Bottom right: My lovely ladies of leisure! Kim and Nat who I have known for yonks too! I love you girls so much xoxo
I remembered what happened just before this picture! HAHAhahha Too funny!
Getting messy now! Lots of 5/10s, sprinklers and kisses!
Thanks for an amazing 27th birthday!
On the eve of my actual birthday, I squeezed 20 good friends into the private room at Bedrock for an amazing dinner. Am glad I chose that place in the end.
First class service, food was great, and I had one of the most dramatic candle/sparkler I’ve even seen on a Awfully Chocolate cake.
So I’ve been lazy with the posts again. Big weekend of posts ahead! My birthday last November was definitely a memorable one spent with close friends and family.
I had to break it into parts because it was pretty epic (pales in comparison to kimmy’s of course) and just 1 post of photos won’t suffice.
Part 1 was with my lovely ladies Janice, Grace, Joanne and Melody at an Italian restaurant in Pasir Panjang Village.
Thanks girls for all the gifts, cards, wishes and most importantly your company at that wonderful dinner!
Lots of love xoxo
Can’t believe how time flies, baby Jules turned 1 last month! We had a small birthday party with family and friends at my sister’s place.
Here’s two short clips from last month. First part of the video was during his birthday party with him rocking to Black Eyed Peas. Second part was just a couple of weeks after that when he first started walking/running!!!
Attended a fantastic party last night, to celebrate Max and Chi’s Birthday! The theme was retro and I was uber excited to show off our little creation. The minute the theme was announced, I knew EXACTLY how Wayne and I should be dressed.
It was so hard to contain my excitement, but here it is:

Taken in the lift just before our big reveal!
Wayne’s look was absolutely hilarious and very well pulled off! And it definitely made everyone at the party laugh.
The party was fantastic, most of us were dressed in theme and that really set the mood for the whole night. Camera flashes were going off, wigs were passed around, food was great and best of all the company of friends was amazing!
Ling even planned a night walk route for us. Those who brought their lanterns lit them up and led the way from Upper East Coast road through Parbury Avenue.
Four legged friends were also invited to the party, so in total, there were 3 Jack russels, 1 Goldie and 1 Schnauzer. It was helter-skelter at the apartment, but lots and lots of love and attention for the dogs all round.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAX! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHI!
We spent less than $40 on each outfit by using old and borrowed clothes. The most expensive item would be the afro wig. Here’s how to get the Wayngela look! Wayne’s outfit
- My Dad’s tennis shorts (truly vintage!)
- My Dad’s 50yr old Tennis racket (truly truly vintage!)
- Arnold Palmer ‘Ah Pek’ polo (OG)
- Wrist and Headbands (Far East)
- Stripped socks (adidas)
- Asics Tigers (Model’s own)
- Moustache (Far East)
- Millionaire specs (Louis Vuitton)
Ok, I’ve been naughty again, I’m up to 28 drafts of blog posts at the moment! So much for keeping to my New Years Resolution.
We celebrated Gwen’s Birthday on Friday afternoon with a lunch at Cumi Bali, and a lovely chocolate cake form secret recipe.
Happy Birthday Gwen, may you age gracefully in your thirties! HAhahhahaha
Celebrated Danli’s birthday last Friday night at House@Dempsey. We’ve known each other since primary two I think, can’t believe we’re both celebrating our 26th birthdays this year.
Times flies… Happy Birthday babe!
In usual ICON style, birthdays in the office are all about food! Together with Sarada’s birthday, we also celebrated Judith’s return from maternity leave.
Gwen’s mum made us a BUCKET full of dry laksa!! Have you ever heard of that before? Dry Laksa? It tastes exactly like Laksa (Curry mee for the Malaysians) but without the soup! F A N T A S T I C ! A no-mess lunch.
And of course, a birthday can’t go by without a Secret Recipe Hazelnut chocolate cake, which by the way, for the umpteenth time refuses to cut neatly to the bottom. So we usually end up eating mush cake… But…. BUT… its AMAZING mush cake. Definitely in my top 10 cakes tasted. It’s called the ‘Chocolate Royale’ just in case you want to try it out.
